Shobha Sriharan, Ph.D. is a Professor of Environmental Science at Virginia State University. Dr. Sriharan teaches Remote Sensing and climate change courses and trains students in climate change research. Dr. Sriharan is the project director the NIFA Grant on Climate Change Studies, She trains and supervises student in application of remote sensing techniques in climate change studies, in the presentations at URISA Pro, and she will be presenting the effects of California Wildfires on communities within the high risk areas. She will provide information on emergency planning and mitigation strategies and environmental justice issues.
