Nate Herold

NOAA Office for Coastal Management
Physical Scientist
Nate Herold is a Physical Scientist with NOAA's Office for Coastal Management (OCM). He manages NOAA’s national land cover mapping and monitoring activities through its Coastal Change Analysis Program and is responsible for helping users access data and tools through the Digital Coast website.
Nate has been with NOAA for 15 years, and before coming to NOAA worked in the private sector on land cover mapping projects worldwide.

He has a Bachelor’s in Soil Science from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Masters in Geography, from George Mason University.
