James Riechel has a background in traditional artificial intelligence (including computer vision), digital photogrammetry and surveying, and parallel and distributed algorithms. He earned his degrees at University of California, Irvine (BS), and Georgia Tech (MS), and has completed BS and MS equivalencies at the University of Leeds. James attends Claremont Graduate University (CGU), where he is working on a PhD in Information Systems & Technology with a focus on GIS. He plans to meet the computational challenges of Big Data with new, faster algorithms which solve traditional problems more efficiently.
