A Research Associate at Mississippi State University's Geosystems Research Institute (GRI), I have worked on the GEO (Geospatial Education and Outreach) Project for the past thirteen years. We are federally funded by NOAA to provide free geospatial education and outreach to Mississippi state and local government employees, as well as federal employees. An ESRI CTP instructor for 9 years until they discontinued the CTP program. I now write my own courses, focusing on the use of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online Software. My passion is the application of geospatial technologies to promote outdoor sport, tourism, and recreation, and having FUN! I am an ESRI Desktop Associate, as well as a lifetime CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+). I earned an undergraduate degree in Marine Science at the University of South Carolina in 1995. After working in the environmental field for two years, I returned to the University of South Carolina in 1998, and earned a graduate degree in Geography, with an emphasis on remote sensing and GIS, in 2000.
