GISP, Geospatial Information Officer, State of Oregon – Geospatial Enterprise Office. Cy joined the State of Oregon in 2000. Responsible for statewide coordination of allgeographic information activities in state agencies, academic institutions, and regionaland local governments, helping to assure the elimination of redundant activities. Cy was the GIS Manager for the City of Olathe, Kansas for four years, the KansasState GIS Coordinator for three years, and a GIS consultant for PlanGraphics, Inc. ofFrankfort, KY for four years. His background is land ownership mapping.

He is theOregon Representative to the National States Geographic Information Council anda Past-President and Treasurer of that organization, President of the Urban Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), and Founding Chair and current Secretary ofthe Coalition of Geospatial Organizations, a coalition of 11 geospatial professional organizations representing over 30,000 members. He is a certified GIS Professional(GISP), a designation conferred by the GIS Certification Institute. He has been in thegeospatial industry for 28 years. Cy holds a B.S. in Earth Science, University of Arkansas – Fayetteville. His professional memberships include: National States Geographic Information Council, Urban Regional Information Systems Association, Oregon Geographic Information Systems Association
