Mark Salling is a Senior Fellow in the Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University. Active in URISA since 1982, he is a past board member, recipient of URISA's Service Award, and a past member of the Core Committee of URISA’s GISCorps. He served on the Council of the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program representing higher education.

Dr. Salling has published papers on demography, redistricting and voting rights, GIS methods, public participation GIS, residential mobility, computer applications in planning, poverty, environmental equity, and urban economic development. He has taught courses on GIS, urban geography, research methods, and demography.
