The use of drones is steadily increasing across organizations.  From crisis management, fire detection, and water tank inspections, this new technology is allowing organizations to quickly collect data that is needed to make important decisions.  But with increasing use of drones, it is important to understand many planning variables, including data acquisition and processing, integration with GIS, and traffic management to minimize risk.
