Increasingly, sea level rise and development in flood-prone areas are leading to a rise in concerns about community sustainability. Methods of resiliency and mitigation using GIS capabilities can inform communities about options for planning and multi-benefit infrastructure investment and restoration projects. Geographic areas discussed in this session include California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, the Biloxi Marsh in Southeast LA, and South Florida.
